Hinksey Sculling School was selected for the sixth year running to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge: over the past years we have raised over £40,000 through the initiative. The Big Give Christmas Challenge gives UK-registered charities like Hinksey the opportunity to secure match funding for online donations made during a 7-day window just before Christmas. This annual fundraising drive forms a significant proportion of the funds we have available for the provision of bursaries as well as the purchase of equipment.

This year, we secured £3750 in matched fund 'pledges' from key donors, as well as £2000 from a 'Charity Champion', The Reed Foundation. With these funds forming our available match funds, through which donations from our supporters could be doubled, our overall target was £11,500.

We exceeded our target by 30%, raising £16,716 by the time the Challenge closed at midday on 5th December.

This was a fantastic achievement for the club, providing us with the funds for three full year-long bursaries as well vital equipment that allows our athletes to fulfil their potential.

THANK YOU to all of our supporters!
