On Saturday 12th November, thirteen Hinksey athletes made their way to Barn Elms Boathouse ready to race over a 6.8 kilometre course from Mortlake to Putney, alongside almost 500 other boats.

In the Women's Junior coxless quad (WJun4x-): Clarisse Astruc, Victoria Baird, Amelia Ledgard-Hoile, and Poppy Marshall.

In the Men's Junior coxless quad (Jun4x-): Stanley Cannons, Hugo Binnian, Andrew Clark and Joe Elwig.

In the Men's Junior coxed four (Jun4+): Ewart Rees, Will Wakefield, Will Sheel, and Rafe Stanford-Meisl, coxed by Sam Farhan.

Unfortunately, despite having trained hard for the race, the Women's Junior coxed four (Alice Vine, Bonnie Coughlan, Grace Bagnall-Oakeley and Maryse Girgis) had to be scratched due to concerns about the adverse weather conditions.

All three crews raced admirably, competing in categories against crews two years their senior, with the WJun4x- placing seventeenth in a category of twenty-seven crews; the Jun4x- placing nineteenth in a category of thirty-one crews; and the Jun4+ placing fourteenth in a category of twenty crews. All of our athletes came off the water pleased to have mastered a challenging course, and very excited about future opportunities to race on the Tideway!
