Junior British Rowing Championships

The Junior British Rowing Championships took place on 14th - 16th July at the Holme Pierrepont Watersports Centre in Nottingham. Nine Hinksey crews entered with members of the J14 - J18 squads competing first in time-trials and then in side-by-side racing on the 2000m course. Two crews progressed through to A finals of their even (OJ18 2- and OJ16 2x), with the other crews in some tight races in B, C, D and E finals.

The J14 2x (Nick Adam and Jacob Taylor) also competed in the omnium event on Friday, demonstrating skills such as standing rigger dips, 360 spins and roll-ups as well as a 500m race. Out of a field of 45 they came 3rd, winning a bronze medal!

OJ18 2: Time Trial - 11th, progressed to semi-final - 3rd, progressed to A Final - 6th
WJ15 2x (Willoughby): Time Trial - 18th, progressed to C Final - 4th
WJ15 2x (May): Time Trial - 26th, progressed to E Final - 2nd
OJ16 2x: Time Trial - 5th, progressed to semi-final - 3rd, progressed to A Final - 6th
WJ16 1x: Time Trial - 22nd, progressed to D Final - 1st
OJ18 2x: Time Trial - 12th, progressed to semi-final - 6th, progressed to B Final - 6th
OJ18 4x (Stanford-Meisl): Time Trial - 7th, progressed to semi-final - 4th, progressed to B Final - 1st
OJ18 4x (Rees): Time Trial - 9th, progressed to semi-final - 4th, progressed to B Final - 3rd
