On Saturday 18th February, members of the senior squad raced over a 3000m stretch at Henley-on-Thames in two coxed fours and an eight.

Novice 4+: Sam Farhan, Will Sheel, Rafe Stanford Meisl, Joe Elwig, coxed by Andrew Clark.

WJ18 8+: Vic Baird, Clarisse Astruc, Eliza Swanson, Maryse Girgis, Bonnie Coughlan, Rosie Taylor, Emma Felin, Emma Foster, coxed by Alice Vine.

IM3 4+: Andrew Clark, Ewart Rees, Will Wakefield, Joe Elwig, coxed by Sam Farhan.

It was a good racing experience for all three crews, with the Novice 4+ placing fourth in a category of thirteen, the eight placing second in a category of two, and the J18 4+ placing third in a category of sixteen. Each of the crews gained valuable experience racing against a crew of similar speed, with the Novice 4+ battling alongside a particularly tenacious crew from Abingdon School along the whole length of the course.

Particular congratulations to Eliza Swanson and Emma Felin for accomplishing their first race, and to Andrew Clark for his coxing debut!
