Evesham Regatta

The beginning of the summer season was marked by Evesham Regatta on Saturday 29th April: raced over a course of 1000m, crews raced side-by-side on the river Avon in knock-out rounds to determine the winner of each event. 

Ten Hinksey crews were entered, a mixture of singles, doubles and coxed quads with athletes from the J13, J14 and J15 squads. 

With some tough racing only a week into training after the Easter Holidays, all of the crews benefitted from their first side-by-side racing experiences of the year. 

Particular congratulations to all of the J13s who raced up a category in J14 quads, the WJ15 quad who made it through two rounds to their final before missing out on the gold against Ross RC, and the J14 double & WJ14 quad who both won their first round! Full results can be found here.
