What's ahead for Hinksey

A cold, blustery day at Reading kicked off the racing season at Hinksey on 1st October for Reading Small Boats Head, with rain and hail signalling the start of true autumn rowing after a warm September. Hinksey was victorious in the J14 singles and WJ16 coxed four, heralding the start of an exciting season ahead. The winning streak continued at Evesham Head, where Hinksey's younger athletes were out in full force. A great performance in the WJ15 doubles secured a win over sixteen other crews, and two WJ13 quads made their head-racing debut, taking the unfamiliar racing format in their stride. Next up is Upper Thames Head on the 30th October, giving our Fours Head crews a chance to test their racing strategy, and our younger crews an opportunity to race on the Henley course.
