What is a Steers-Person?

A Steers-person is essentially the COX - and therefore Master of Her/His Craft - of a boat which does not carry a Cox.

A single sculler is Master of Her/His Craft.

All crew boats carrying 2, 3 or 4 members can be available without a cox's seat. These are called Coxless boats and are steered by a member of the crew who is given the job of Steers-Person.

Crew boats of 8 members are not generally available in coxless format.
